So far as we can tell, this is the first manufactured Mossberg 500/590/590A1/Maverick 88 quad rail produced [and what a great piece]! This Mossberg rail is the last word in quality accessorizing.

This work of art now allows any picatinny rail accessory, such as those on your rifle, to be mounted on the Mossberg 500/590 -even the 590A1 and Maverick 88. Take your shotgun to the next level!
No gunsmitthing required! This rail will fit both tapped and untapped receivers. Installation takes under 10-minutes from the time the rail is removed from the box to the time the shotgun is ready to fire. We even supply the tools and instructions!
Compatible with 12ga and 20ga models!
It's recommended 500 models be the fitted with extension tubes as the muzzle-end of the rail is designed to clamp itself to both the barrel and the magazine tube. However, the manufacturer does suggest the use of a simple piece of 1" metal tubing (not included) as a substitute to the extended magazine tube to achieve comparable leverage. It is also recommended that the bayonet lugs on the 590A1 be slightly narrowed about .005" on each side [using a hand file (not included)] for the best fit. OEM heat shields should be removed as this rail replaces them. The manufacturer recommends a minimum barrel length of 18-inches. The clamp supplied with this rail is not compatible with models featuring a breach muzzle or flash hider/supressor-style muzzle.

***NOTE: The clamp system in this kit sees 100% of the shock associated with every round fired. It is of the utmost importance that the clamp be as tight as possible so as not to move backwards. Loctite and frequent checking of the clamps is recommended. If the clamp works loose, all of the energy is transferred to the pins and screws, which are not meant to see that level of shock.***

EOTech will promptly repair or replace at its option any product that is defective in mate- rial or workmanship, without charge. All costs associated with the product shipment for product repair will be incurred by the owner. This warranty does not cover defects caused by improper handling, unauthorized disassembly, installation, or maintenance; abnormal use; or unapproved alterations. EOTech shall not, in any event, be liable for any damages, including any lost profits, lost savings, or other incidental or consequential damages aris- ing out of the use or inability to use such products. EOTech Holographic Weapon Sights:
The HWS uses laser light to illuminate a holographic reticle pattern embedded in the heads-up display window and forms a virtual image of a reticle pattern. The shooter looks through the heads-up display window and sees a bright red image of a reticle pattern projected onto the target plane. There is absolutely no light projected onto the target plane. The HWS has no magnification.
The HWS has been designed and tested to provide consistent, reliable performance even in the most hostile operational environments. It is waterproof, fog proof, shockproof, and temperature proof.
The HWS is designed to withstand Mil-Spec drop tests and still remain fully operational and hold zero. The HWS has been extensively tested in a punishing recoil simulator generating 3,500 G's of acceleration in less than 0.5 milliseconds (the recoil of a .454 Casull revolver) as well as various environmental chambers).
The Heads Up Display is constructed with a 3 layer, shatterproof laminate glass that is 3/16" thick for added durability. Additional protection of the Heads Up Display is provided with a "roll bar" ruggedized hood.
All optical surfaces are flat and treated with anti-reflective coatings eliminating additional muzzle side signature due to reflective glare. No need for costly glare elimination filters that reduce the effective light transmission and further dim the target area. The HWS employs a true Heads-Up Display that eliminates blind spots, constricted vision, or the tunnel vision associated with tube sights. All user controls are flush to the HWS's streamline housing with no protruding knobs, battery compartments or mounting rings blocking vision at the target area. True, 2 eyes open shooting is realized. Instant threat identification is achieved by maximizing the operator's peripheral vision and ultimately gaining greater control of the engagement zone. In holography, all the information required to reconstruct the reticle image is recorded everywhere in the Heads-Up display window. If the window is obstructed by mud, snow, rain, etc., the HWS remains fully operational , with point of aim/impact being maintained. Even in such extreme cases where the laminated window is shattered, the HWS is fully functional! As long as the operator can see through any portion of the window, the entire reticle pattern is visible on target...the operator can still engage with confidence.
